Synopsis
Raised without a family in a parallel realm where empirical inquiry, faith and sorcery overlap, Lyra pursues a missing friend and uncovers a grim network of abducted children and a baffling substance known as Dust. Her investigation becomes a deeper search for the truth about her origins and a foretold fate, and she is soon joined by Will, a boy who carries a blade that can slice portals between realities. As they piece together secrets about their parents and their roles in an ancient prophecy, the two are drawn into a sprawling conflict with heavenly powers that spans multiple worlds.
