Synopsis

A former medical student, now a reluctant zombie, accepts a position at the coroner’s office so she can legally access the brains she must consume to keep her remaining humanity. Each brain she eats floods her with the deceased’s memories and skills, forcing her to relive fragments of their lives and confront the mysteries of their deaths. Teaming up with a pragmatic medical examiner and a skeptical police detective, she uses these borrowed recollections to investigate homicides, navigate moral gray areas, and fight to hold on to her own identity.
