Synopsis

In the Remisol tribe, Solfami is devastated when Papa Rehe prepares to offer herself to the gods. Desperate to save the girl, Mama Rehe slips a magical ring onto Solfami and, using secret rites, condenses her into the hiding place of a giant shell before leading her to the shore. When the tribe realizes that the clam contains Solfami, they pursue Mama Rehe to the beach, but she hurls the shell into the open sea, sending it away to an uncertain fate. Centuries later, a diver named Bagus discovers the enormous shell, opens it, and finds Solfami inside—alive—and affectionately dubs her Jinny.
