Synopsis

A plane going down strands a group of schoolboys on an uninhabited tropical island with no adults to guide them. They quickly appoint Ralph as their leader, and with the astute, cautious Piggy as his advisor, Ralph attempts to build rules, keep a rescue fire burning and preserve a sense of order. Jack, entrusted with hunting and the fire, becomes increasingly obsessed with the chase and with asserting his authority, fracturing the group’s unity. Rivalries intensify, trust unravels, and the fragile experiment in self-government collapses into fear, violence and loss.
