Synopsis
Tracing the defining chapters of Prophet Joseph (Yusuf) as preserved in Islamic tradition, the series follows his transformation from a hopeful youth into a revered Egyptian statesman. After being taken to Egypt, he navigates life as a slave and grows in stature within his master's household, until the household’s lady, Zuleikha, becomes infatuated with him and he must resist her advances. Wrongfully accused, Joseph spends years in prison, where his character and wisdom quietly reshape the lives of fellow inmates. His gift for insight eventually brings him before the Pharaoh, and he rises to become the ruler’s trusted advisor, guiding Egypt through crisis. When his brothers arrive unaware of his identity, Joseph engineers tests that awaken their remorse and open the way to repentance and reconciliation, culminating in an emotional reunion with his family after more than two decades.
