Is the TV show Rescue Me available on Netflix, Disney+, Prime or Apple TV+?
Rescue Me (2004) is a raw, often darkly comic look at the NYFD in the long shadow of 9/11, centered on Tommy Gavin — a firefighter haunted by the loss of comrades (and the memory of his cousin Jimmy Keefe) as he fights PTSD, addiction and the daily grind at the firehouse. The series mixes blaring alarms, rig runs and bar-room confessions with moments of brutal honesty, led by Denis Leary alongside characters like Lt. “Lou” Shea, Franco Rivera, Sean Garrity and rookie Mike Lombardi. Critically acclaimed, Rescue Me earned multiple Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for its unflinching performances and writing. In this article, Stream Tracker checks whether you can stream Tommy’s battles on Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video or AppleTV+ and tells you where to find each season.
Synopsis
In the wake of the September 11 attacks, the men of the New York City Fire Department struggle to find solid ground—no one more so than Tommy Gavin. Newly separated from his wife and distanced from their three children, he is consumed by grief and fury, haunted by recurring nightmares of comrades lost in the towers, most painfully his cousin Jimmy Keefe. Working with battle-hardened colleagues—Lt. “Lou” Shea, Franco Rivera and Sean Garrity—and a rookie, Mike Lombardi, Tommy clings to the job even as he wages a private war against alcohol and drugs, fighting to remain, above all else, a New York City firefighter.
