Is the TV show The Colbys available on Netflix, Disney+, Prime or Apple TV+?

At Stream Tracker, we take a look back at The Colbys (1985), the lavish Aaron Spelling spin-off from Dynasty that threw the Carrington-style glamour, boardroom intrigue and family feuds into an even bigger corporate playground. Featuring stars like Charlton Heston, Barbara Stanwyck, Katharine Ross and Ricardo Montalban, the series aimed for excess—high society mansions, yachts and multinational power plays—but ran for just two seasons before being cancelled. In this piece we map that opulence onto the modern streaming landscape and check whether The Colbys is currently available to watch on Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video or AppleTV+, and where to find the episodes if they’re streaming now.

The Colbys

Synopsis

A glossy, prime-time American soap opera that aired on ABC from November 20, 1985, to March 26, 1987, it followed the fortunes of an opulent, high-society family tied by blood to the Carringtons of Dynasty and in control of a vast multinational corporation. Developed by Aaron Spelling as an ambitious spin-off of the previous season’s top-rated series, the show was financed with an unusually large budget for the era and featured a roster of well-known film actors, including Charlton Heston, Barbara Stanwyck, Katharine Ross and Ricardo Montalban. Despite its lavish production values and star-studded cast, the series failed to attract a large enough audience and was canceled after two seasons.
