Synopsis
Three actors best known for Trailer Park Boys—Mike Smith, Robb Wells and JP Tremblay—reunite for a wildly inventive comedy miniseries set in the made-up town of Port Cockerton. While shooting a chaotic sketch-and-variety show called The Happy Funtime Hour, the production veers into darkly comic territory when an actor hired to portray an eccentric scientist concocts a powerful, addictive hallucinogen from local berries and begins to take on his role off-camera. As the drug spreads through the cast, performers start believing they really are their on-stage personas, careening through town and leaving controlled mayhem in their wake. The result is a high-energy, surreal ride peppered with memorable guest appearances from Jay Baruchel, Amy Sedaris, Pat Roach and John Dunsworth.
