Synopsis
Stef Foster, a committed police officer, and her partner Lena Adams, a school vice principal, have built a warm, close-knit home with Stef’s son Brandon from a previous marriage and their adopted twins, Mariana and Jesus. When Lena meets Callie, a wary teenager shaped by abuse and a string of unstable foster placements, she and Stef take in Callie and her younger brother Jude, expecting to offer only temporary shelter until a more permanent solution is found. What begins as a short-term act of kindness quickly upends the family’s routines and expectations, forcing them to reckon with painful pasts, redefine what family means, and face challenges that will change all their lives.
