Synopsis

A young woman named Cora makes a daring bid for freedom from a Georgia plantation in the antebellum South, driven by whispers of the Underground Railroad. Instead of a figurative hope, she stumbles onto a literal subterranean rail network—manned by engineers and conductors and woven from hidden tracks and tunnels beneath the Southern soil.
