A British television series first broadcast in 1994, the program spans 13 episodes. Each episode delivers a new adventure while a larger mystery unfolds: a modern-day Adam is on a quest to find the grave of his long-ago namesake Zachary, recover a mystical stone, and locate a lost book of formidable power. As he follows clues, the tangled past of the two brothers and the roles of figures such as Princess Beatrice and Lady Clare are gradually brought to light. Created and executive-produced by Tom Gabbay, the show was filmed on location across Austria, Germany, Spain and England — including Helmsley Castle and the Yorkshire Moors — by FingerTip Films for Yorkshire Television in collaboration with ZDF, Antena 3 and SkyTV.
