Synopsis

Demons rule the land, enslaving cultivators and ordinary people alike. To stop the rise of the Demon Lord, the elders of the cultivator sect send an operative back in time to trace his origin and prevent his awakening. Li Susu volunteers and adopts the mortal identity Ye Xiwu—the third daughter of General Ye—who is married off to Tantai Jin, a hostage prince fated to become that very Demon Lord. Determined to avert the future massacre by destroying him, she infiltrates his life, only to witness his past and the painful steps of his ascent.
