Is the TV show W1A available on Netflix, Disney+, Prime or Apple TV+?
At Stream Tracker, we’re taking a quick look at W1A (2014) — the dry, mockumentary send‑up of BBC management — and where to find it: Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video or Apple TV+. A direct follow‑on to Twenty Twelve, W1A follows Ian Fletcher as the self‑appointed Head of Values, charged with clarifying the BBC’s purpose ahead of Licence Fee renegotiation and Charter renewal. Expect corridor meetings, corporate‑speak, spin doctors, and boardroom farce as management tries to package “values” for public consumption. The series earned critical praise and picked up BAFTA nominations; below, Stream Tracker checks which platforms currently carry the show so you don’t have to sit through another interminable meeting trying to track it down.
Synopsis
Ian Fletcher is appointed Head of Values at the BBC, tasked with articulating and embedding the broadcaster’s core purpose across every department. Charged with defining (or redefining) what the BBC stands for, he must align its mission and principles, steer internal debate and present a compelling, future-ready case to the public and government — most urgently ahead of the licence-fee renegotiations and the 2016–17 charter renewal.
