Is the movie Catch a Fire available on Netflix, Disney+, Prime or Apple TV+?
At Stream Tracker, we’ll help you find where to watch Catch a Fire (2006) — whether it’s on Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video or Apple TV+. Based on the true story of Patrick Chamusso, the film follows a quiet foreman at the Secunda CTL plant who is wrongly accused, imprisoned and tortured, and whose injustice transforms him into a radicalized insurgent bent on sabotage. Phillip Noyce’s tense, politically charged drama mixes the everyday grind of factory life with the high-stakes world of anti‑apartheid resistance, making the synthetic fuel plant itself feel like a character in the story. While it wasn’t a major awards juggernaut, the film drew strong critical praise—especially for Derek Luke’s performance—and remains a powerful, realistic portrait of how oppression can spark rebellion. In the article below, we’ll check whether Catch a Fire is currently streaming on Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video or Apple TV+ and explain regional differences and how to track its availability.
Synopsis
Set against the backdrop of South Africa’s anti-apartheid struggle, the film centers on Patrick Chamusso, a mild-mannered foreman at Secunda CTL — the world’s largest synthetic-fuel plant — whose ordinary life is upended when he is falsely blamed for an attempted bombing. Arrested, jailed and brutalized, the once-apolitical worker is radicalized by the cruelty he endures, ultimately turning to the resistance and mounting a successful act of sabotage on the facility.
