Is the movie Catching Giants: Zambezi Shark available on Netflix, Disney+, Prime or Apple TV+?

Catching Giants: Zambezi Shark (2004) is a tense, salt-bitten expedition that drops you into the chilly, unforgiving waters around the Breede River. The film follows aquatic ecologist Andy Coetzee and shark hunter Hennie Papenfuss as they piece together grisly reports — kob heads left on the line, bodies gone — and chase the trail of a massive predator along South Africa’s coastline. Part documentary, part hunt, the movie blends field science and old-school shark hunting to build a thriller out of real-world mysteries: river currents, migratory fish, and a creature that may be bigger than anyone expects. In this article, Stream Tracker checks where you can watch the film and whether it’s currently streaming on Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video or AppleTV+, with notes on regional availability and viewing options.

Catching Giants: Zambezi Shark

Synopsis

Two hundred kilometres from Africa’s southernmost tip, where the water runs cold and unforgiving, the Breede River hides a growing mystery. Fishermen are hauling in lines that tell a gruesome story: giant fish have vanished — their bodies ripped away while only heads remain. When aquatic ecologist Andy Coetzee sees a photograph of a large kob’s head, clearly severed from a missing torso by something far larger, he is pulled into a hunt for answers. Teaming up with shark hunter and veteran angler Hennie Papenfuss, Andy follows both scientific leads and local rumor along South Africa’s coastline, tracking a trail of prey and predators. Their tense, waterborne pursuit moves from river mouth to open sea as they try to uncover what monstrous force is taking the fish — and whether humans might be next.
