Is the movie The Pianist available on Netflix, Disney+, Prime or Apple TV+?
Roman Polanski’s The Pianist (2002) is a spare, piano-led chronicle of survival in wartime Warsaw, following Władysław Szpilman as he moves from playing in a café to hiding among the city’s ruins after the ghetto deportations. The film won major awards — three Academy Awards (including Best Actor for Adrien Brody and Best Director for Roman Polanski) and the Palme d’Or at Cannes — and remains one of the most harrowing screen portraits of the Nazi occupation. In this article, we check whether The Pianist is available to stream on Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video or Apple TV+ and explain how to find it on each platform.
Synopsis
A gifted pianist fights to survive in Warsaw as German forces confine the city's Jewish population to a ghetto. He secures work playing in a café, but when his family is deported in 1942 he narrowly avoids the same fate, spending time as a laborer before going into hiding among the devastated, bombed-out streets of the city to escape capture.
