Synopsis

In 1937, as Nanjing falls, a modest postal worker adopts the guise of a photo developer to blend into the occupying forces’ world. Outwardly collaborating, he covertly converts his darkroom into a haven for displaced families, slipping them food and shelter while hiding their presence.
