Is the movie Death Note Relight 1: Visions of a God available on Netflix, Disney+, Prime or Apple TV+?
Death Note Relight 1: Visions of a God (2006) is a condensed retelling of episodes 1–26 of the original Death Note anime, stitched together with alternate footage to refocus the hunt for justice around Light Yagami and his alter ego, Kira. With Ryuk’s dropped notebook setting a chain of moral reckonings in motion, Relight 1 revisits the cat-and-mouse tension between Light and his pursuers while leaning into the shinigami lore that made the series iconic. Unlike a brand-new feature, this recap film aims to reframe familiar beats rather than expand the canon with major new arcs. It did not rack up major international awards on release, though the Death Note franchise has long been praised for its tight plotting and psychological stakes. Availability on Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video and Apple TV+ varies widely by territory and licensing window — check the platform in your country or use Stream Tracker’s search to see whether Netflix or any of the other services currently stream Relight 1 where you live.
