Is the movie Eye of the Dolphin available on Netflix, Disney+, Prime or Apple TV+?

At Stream Tracker, we take a deep dive into Eye of the Dolphin (2007), a gentle coming‑of‑age drama set on the salt‑sprayed shores of Grand Bahama Island. The film follows 14‑year‑old Alyssa as she reconnects with a father she believed dead and learns to listen — not just to people, but to the dolphins and the sea that surround Smith’s Point. It’s a story of grief, conservation, and the fragile balance between research and tourism. In this article we’ll look at the film’s themes and key moments, then tell you whether Eye of the Dolphin is currently streaming on Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video or AppleTV+. If you want me to, I can also check for any festival awards or honours the film may have received.

Eye of the Dolphin

Synopsis

Fourteen-year-old Alyssa, unraveled and suspended from school a year after her mother drowned, is sent by her exhausted grandmother Lucy to find the father she long believed dead. James, a scientist who studies dolphin communication at Smith’s Point on Grand Bahama Island, has never known Alyssa exists and is unprepared for sudden parenthood. Their arrival coincides with a crisis: James’s research station is threatened with being turned into a tourist attraction, pitting conservation, commerce, and community against one another. With cautious help from James’s partner and her father, the two strangers begin to awkwardly piece together a family. Ultimately it is the dolphins—through their songs and rhythms—that become the unexpected teachers, guiding Alyssa toward listening, healing, and a new way to connect.
