Synopsis
When a prospecting rig in Mongolia's Gobi fails to produce, a transport crew is dispatched to shut the site and evacuate the workers. Bound for Beijing, Captain Frank Towns and his co-pilot A.J. are caught in a sudden, violent sandstorm that cripples their vintage C-119 cargo plane, forcing a crash landing in an uncharted stretch of desert. Stranded together with the oil crew and a solitary drifter, the two pilots must lead an improvised effort to rebuild the aircraft and get everyone to safety.
