Synopsis
In booming Jackson County, Wyoming, Harvard-educated sheriff James Averill tries to hold the peace as a bitter clash erupts between struggling immigrant laborers and a powerful circle of wealthy cattle barons. The ranchers recruit a hardened gun-for-hire, Nathan Champion, who doubles as a suitor to Ella Watson, the town’s charismatic madam; his presence inflames the uprising and blurs the line between protector and provocateur. As violence mounts and alliances harden, both Averill and Champion are forced to confront the morality of their choices and the cost of defending a fragile order.
