Is the movie Kirikou and the Men and Women available on Netflix, Disney+, Prime or Apple TV+?
At Stream Tracker, we like to start in the blue grotto. Kirikou and the Men and Women (2012), Michel Ocelot’s return to the tiny hero’s world, unfolds like a string of fireside tales: the grandfather recounts how Kirikou’s courage and cleverness helped the village, how a grumpy old man was found in the bush, how a threatened cherry and a mysterious blue monster changed destinies, and how a simple flute carried the magic of music across generations. The film keeps the series’ blend of folkloric warmth, gentle humor and moral intelligence. In this article we’ll look at where you can stream these new stories — including whether the film is available on Netflix, as well as on Disney+, Prime Video or Apple TV+. We’ll also give a quick note on critical reception and the film’s place in the Kirikou saga, so you know what to expect before you press play.
Synopsis
In his shimmering blue grotto, the grandfather recalls treasured childhood tales of Kirikou: how the boy’s bravery and cleverness brought aid to people in his village and beyond. He recounts Kirikou’s rescue of a powerful woman, the crafty trick by which the little hero located a surly old man lost in the bush, and how a cherry, menaced by the witch, ultimately succeeded in passing its knowledge on to the villagers. The stories also reveal the secret of a mysterious blue creature and, through a flute that belongs to the family of these small, valiant heroes, unveil the magical power of music.
