Synopsis
Mr Karva quietly runs a murky little empire in North London, the source of its wealth never fully revealed but clearly unsavoury. His stepson Othello covets the position of power, while Othello’s timid companion Emilio harbours ambitions of his own. The precarious order is disrupted when Roadrunner, a restless drifter, discovers a pale, fragile ten-year-old in a park. Always on the move, Roadrunner suddenly feels rooted the moment he meets the boy’s eyes. Though the child never speaks, he seems to alter the world around him, granting each person a private glimpse of their ideal future — the particular echo of heaven their heart most aches for. As each character confronts the boy’s silent influence, loyalties shift and desires clash, exposing what they will risk to claim their imagined salvation.
