Single dad Richard stumbles into a tentative romance with Christine, a starving artist who moonlights as a cabbie, while his two sons conduct awkward experiments with the opposite sex. The film earned the Caméra d'Or at Cannes in 2005. In the article that follows, we’ll check whether you can stream this tenderly awkward indie on Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, or AppleTV+, and how to find it on each platform.
Synopsis
Richard, a single dad still raw from a painful divorce, meets Christine, a struggling artist who makes ends meet by driving a taxi at night. Their tentative courtship is halting and awkward as they try to trust and open up again, while Richard’s emotional wounds complicate every step forward. At home, his two boys—a sullen teenager and an inquisitive six-year-old—clumsily experiment with members of the opposite sex, their fumbling attempts at attraction reflecting the messy, tentative way the whole family is learning to love and heal.
