Synopsis
Haunted by his wife's violent death, Leonard Shelby is relentlessly hunting the man responsible. His quest is made nearly impossible by a rare, irreversible form of short-term memory loss: he retains memories from before his injury but cannot form new ones beyond about fifteen minutes. He repeatedly wakes up without knowing what just happened, where he's going, or why, and must depend on notes, photographs and an improvised system to hold together the clues that keep his search alive.
