Synopsis

Nine-year-old orphan Oliver Twist, punished by a harsh workhouse overseer after daring to ask for more food, is apprenticed away as further punishment. He escapes that grim future and falls in with the streetwise Artful Dodger and the gang led by the cunning Fagin, who trains children in petty crime.
