Synopsis
A macaw named Blu was taken from his home as a chick by smugglers and, never having learned to fly, grows up as a contented pet in Minnesota with his owner Linda. Thought to be the last of his species, he is brought to Rio de Janeiro after news surfaces of a lone female named Jewel. The two birds are seized by traffickers, but they escape and undertake a dangerous journey through the city and jungle to win back their freedom — and to reunite with Linda.
