Synopsis
In the mid-1970s Chicago suburbs, eight-year-old Pete, a devout Catholic schoolboy, is sent off for summer with a nun’s stern counsel to walk the path of God and avoid the Devil. Taking her words to heart, he sets himself a singular, well‑intentioned goal: to spend the summer guiding a Jewish person into the Catholic fold so they might reach heaven. The story follows his innocent, often awkward crusade and the collisions between youthful certainty, faith, and the complicated realities of belief.
