Is the movie Summer Storm available on Netflix, Disney+, Prime or Apple TV+?

From the Stream Tracker team — Summer Storm (2004), directed by Marco Kreuzpaintner, steers you into the tight world of a summer rowing camp where oars, shells and regattas frame a quietly powerful coming-of-age story. Tobi and Achim, the golden boys of their crew club, head into the season expecting nothing to shake their friendship — until the arrival of a gay team from Berlin and a metaphorical storm that upends loyalties, desire and identity on the eve of the big race. With its intimate shots of boats, riverbanks and locker-room tensions, the film uses the language of rowing to chart a very human crossing. Praised on the festival circuit for its honest portrayal of adolescence and queer awakening, Summer Storm picked up several awards and nominations that helped it find an international audience. In this article, Stream Tracker checks whether you can catch the film on Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video or AppleTV+, and tells you where to stream it right now and what to expect before you row in.

Summer Storm

Synopsis

Tobi and Achim, the standout duo of their small-town rowing club, have been inseparable for years and believe nothing can ever drive a wedge between them. They eagerly anticipate the summer training camp and the big regatta, confident in their rhythm and partnership. Then a gay crew from Berlin arrives, and Tobi suddenly finds himself unsettled, questioning feelings he never expected. On the eve of the races a storm rolls in—one that strips away more than calm waters, forcing loyalties, desires, and identities to surface and pushing their friendship to the breaking point.
