Synopsis

Facing ruin, the head of a struggling French household believes his fortunes have turned when a wealthy man's daughter accepts an engagement to his son. The young woman and her aunt travel to the family's rural estate to meet them, unaware that a shadowy, unexplained creature is prowling the nearby countryside.
