Synopsis
After his fiancée Valentine ends their engagement, prominent lawyer Geoffrey Sherwood drowns his sorrow in drink and impulsively marries a stranger, Miriam Brady. The two agree to give the marriage a real chance, and their lively landlady — a former Floradora girl — takes it upon herself to groom Miriam into a more polished companion. As Geoffrey regains his success and composure, Valentine reappears, insinuating that she might reclaim him if circumstances were different.
