Synopsis
In Dublin, the mutilated body of a young woman—her skin eaten by acid and her flesh scored by blades—is discovered in the trunk of the Swiss ambassador’s official car. The ambassador himself, along with his family and household staff, immediately fall under suspicion. Faced with the barrier of diplomatic immunity, the lead investigator recruits John Norton, a retired inspector notorious for his ruthless methods, to run a covert, off-the-books inquiry. As Norton becomes entangled with the ambassador’s alluring daughter, a series of increasingly savage murders plunges the city deeper into fear and suspicion.
