Is the movie The Italian available on Netflix, Disney+, Prime or Apple TV+?
From the Stream Tracker team — if you’re drawn to tales of hidden identities and last-minute reckonings, The Italian (2011) steers straight into that territory. Set in the sun-drenched streets of Nice and centered on Dino Fabrizzi — aka Mourad Ben Saoud — the film mixes the glamour of Maseratis and showroom success with the tightness of Ramadan, family promises and the slow unravelling of a life built on a lie. Whether you’re hunting for The Italian on Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video or Apple TV+, this piece will map where to stream it and how the film’s bittersweet tone and Kad Merad’s committed performance have been received — the movie drew warm audience and critical notice even if it wasn’t a major prize-winner on the festival circuit.
Synopsis
Dino Fabrizzi is the top seller at a Maserati showroom in Nice. At 42, he's poised at a turning point: a promotion to director is on the table and his partner of one year, Helen, is determined to marry him. On the surface his life is perfect — but it rests on a lie. His true name is Mourad Ben Saoud, a secret he hides from his boss, from Helen and even from his own parents. With Ramadan starting in ten days, Mourad, who has observed the fast every year, has vowed to his sick father that he will take part this time. Keeping that promise will force Dino, the self-styled Italian, to confront the life he has fabricated and the identity he has long denied.
