Synopsis
In 1940s America, Neal Cassady drifts between late-night adventures and long days at The Tire Yard, a charming rogue who avoids commitment while flirting with everyone he meets. Beneath his restless exterior, however, he harbors an unexpected longing for a settled life—children, a modest home, and the quiet comforts of domesticity. When his girlfriend Joan attempts to take her own life, Neal panics and flees, unable to face the consequences of attachment. Months later Joan resurfaces, forcing him to confront a choice: embrace the ordinary happiness he secretly craves, or walk away once more and preserve his freedom.
