Synopsis
Katherine Morrissey once devoted her life to missionary work, but the murder of her family shattered the faith she once held. So when a quiet Louisiana town is besieged by a succession of disasters that echo the biblical plagues, Katherine arrives intent on proving there is a natural cause—only to discover forces at work that defy explanation. As the phenomena deepen and a hostile presence emerges from the swamp, she is pushed to confront the emptiness she has been hiding in and to reclaim the belief she abandoned if she hopes to stop the evil.
