Synopsis
In the sweltering heat of a New York summer, a restless teenage marijuana dealer survives by exchanging weed for counseling with a burned-out psychiatrist grappling with his own addiction. Their uneasy arrangement draws the boy into a world of adult complications, which intensify when he falls for a classmate who just happens to be the doctor’s daughter. Over the course of that summer he confronts sex, drugs, music, and the messy, uncertain choices that push him toward manhood.
