Synopsis
In the maze of backstreets in a Southeast Asian tourist town, a cramped cinderblock room with stained sheets conceals a child held for exploitation. Alex, a human-trafficking investigator, goes undercover—posing as a client—to infiltrate the ring and bargain with the trafficker for access to the girl. His wife Claire, absorbed in their new life abroad, channels her energy into volunteering at an aftercare shelter for rescued girls, where she confronts the fragile freedoms and dignity of local children under threat from the same predatory trade.
