Synopsis
Mark Renton, struggling with heroin addiction, drifts between attempts at getting clean and falling back into bad choices, surrounded by his unreliable friends—Sick Boy, Begbie, Spud and Tommy—and accompanied by Diane, a girlfriend who is underage. After detoxing and moving from Edinburgh to London to try to rebuild his life, Mark quickly realizes that distance won't free him from his past when Begbie and Sick Boy reappear and threaten to drag him back into the same destructive cycle.
