Synopsis

A French children’s television adaptation of the American program Sesame Street, the series premiered on TF1 on January 4, 1978, at 6:25 p.m. It combined live-action and puppetry with original music directed by Roger Elcourt and compositions by Jean Morlier. Production was overseen by Michel Berthier for TF1 and Lutrelle Horne for CTW. A total of 82 episodes were produced before the series ended in June 1982. It has also been known under the titles Bonjour Sésame and La Rue Sésame. In October 2005, Sesame Workshop introduced a new French installment titled 5, Rue Sésame.
