Full of shy confessions, awkward reunions and that unmistakable “blue spring” feeling of adolescence, the series captures the push‑and‑pull of young love as Futaba and Kou relearn each other. In this article we’ll explain the show’s story beats and, most importantly, tell you whether you can stream Ao Haru Ride on Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video or Apple TV+.
Synopsis
At the close of her freshman year, Futaba Yoshioka unexpectedly crosses paths with Kou Tanaka, the boy she loved in middle school who transferred away three years earlier before she could confess her feelings. Now back with a new surname, Mabuchi, and a cooler, more guarded demeanor, he is almost unrecognizable. As they reconnect, old emotions resurface and the two slowly rebuild their bond while uncovering the changes and secrets that shaped the years they spent apart.
