At Stream Tracker, we keep tabs on where shows land so you don't have to. This article takes a look at Capitol Critters (1992) — the short-lived animated series about mice, rats and roaches eking out a life in the White House basement and walls — and whether you can stream it today on Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video or AppleTV+. Created by Steven Bochco Productions and Hanna-Barbera (in association with 20th Century Fox Television) for ABC, the show originally aired seven of its 13 episodes in early 1992 before being pulled; Cartoon Network later showed the full run. Read on to find out where to catch these rodents as they scurry through the corridors and tunnels of D.C., and which platforms — if any — currently host the series.
Synopsis
Set beneath the floors and within the walls of the White House in Washington, D.C., the animated series follows the daily lives and misadventures of the mice, rats, and cockroaches who inhabit that hidden world. Created through a collaboration between Steven Bochco Productions, Hanna-Barbera, and 20th Century Fox Television for ABC, the show completed 13 episodes, but ABC broadcast only seven of them between January 31 and March 14, 1992; Cartoon Network later aired the full 13-episode run in 1995. The series was one of several network attempts to replicate the prime-time animated success sparked by The Simpsons—alongside contemporaries like Fish Police and Family Dog—and, like those efforts, it failed to attract a large audience and was canceled after a short run.
