Synopsis
Three young mermaids—Sirena, Nixie and Lyla—belong to a pod that guards the mystical Moon Pool in the waters around Mako Island. One fateful full-moon night, the girls neglect their duty and a sixteen-year-old human named Zac slips into the pool, becoming linked to its magic and emerging with a fishlike tail and remarkable powers. As punishment, the pod is driven away from Mako and the trio are cast out, their place in the community stripped from them. To win back their status they must somehow take on human legs, go ashore and reclaim Zac’s connection to the Moon Pool—or face exile forever.
