Synopsis

A young sorceress named Lina Inverse — driven by appetite, fortune, and the thrill of battle — makes off with a bandits' hoard and sets out for the next town. Along the way she’s confronted by leftover brigands, and though she’s never truly in peril, a well-meaning but scatterbrained swordsman, Gourry Gabriev, leaps to her aid.
