Synopsis

Nanotechnology researcher Wang Miao is escorted to the Joint Operations Center by the tough-minded police officer Shi Qiang, who is investigating a baffling wave of suicides among scientists worldwide. Recruited to go undercover, Wang is sent to infiltrate a shadowy group called the Frontiers of Science to assist the inquiry. There he is contacted by the organization’s enigmatic leader, Shen Yufei, who introduces him to an immersive virtual-reality experience known as Three-Body — a game that soon reveals itself to be far more than mere entertainment.
