Synopsis
Megan Carter, a reporter who has been manipulated into running a false exposé about suspected racketeer Michael Gallagher, learns that Gallagher had an alibi for the time of the alleged crime — an alibi that protects an innocent person. After Gallagher confides the real circumstances to her and the paper prints his version, a tragic chain of events is set in motion, forcing Carter to reckon with her professional responsibilities when Gallagher comes to confront her.
