Synopsis

A freak chemical spill turns ordinary spiders into SUV-sized predators overnight, and the quiet mining town that caused the contamination wakes to a living nightmare. Mining engineer Chris McCormack and Sheriff Sam Parker scramble to organize a ragtag defense—Sam's young son Mike, her daughter Ashley, and the town's paranoid radio host Harlan among them—as the giant arachnids descend on homes, streets and the mine itself. With power failing and panic spreading, the makeshift band must improvise weapons, test dangerous tactics and face their own fears, forging fragile alliances in a desperate bid to stop the swarm before the town is lost.
