Synopsis

Born into nobility, Rodrigo enjoys a carefree childhood—educated early, he embarks on daring adventures with his faithful friend Sancho and courts Jimena, the beloved daughter of the Count of Gormaz. His bright world is shattered after King Fernando’s death, when Rodrigo is swept into a web of treachery and political intrigue that costs Sancho his life and paves the way for young Prince Alfonso’s coronation. Stripped of his possessions, his love, and his reputation, Rodrigo is falsely condemned and exiled to Castile in disgrace.
