Is the movie George of the Jungle available on Netflix, Disney+, Prime or Apple TV+?
George of the Jungle (1997) — Brendan Fraser’s buff, lovable klutz based on the 1960s cartoon — is a slapstick, family-friendly romp where the King of Swing protects his jungle pals Tookie, Ape and Shep from poachers. In this article we’ll check whether George is currently hanging from the streaming trees on Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video or Apple TV+. The film wasn’t a major awards contender, but its goofy physical comedy and jungle-heart have kept it a nostalgic favorite.
Synopsis
Abandoned as an infant after a plane crash in the depths of the African jungle, George is taken in and raised by a family of gorillas. Now grown, he’s a strong, good-natured bungler who rules the canopy alongside a quirky cast of friends: Tookie, a boisterous toucan who ferries messages through the trees; Ape, his clever, talking gorilla mentor; and Shep, a dog owned by an elephant with an unshakable love of peanuts. When a band of poachers threatens his companions and their forest home, George—the self-styled king of the treetops—must swing into action, using his awkward charm and surprising strength to protect the jungle and those he loves.
