Synopsis
After his parents disappear while traveling in Africa, young Henry is forced to move in with his cold, money-hungry Uncle Augustus. Unknown to most, the walls of the house are inhabited by the Littles, tiny, elf-like folk who live in the cracks and keep their existence secret. Uncle Augustus treats Henry like a servant and schemes to demolish the house to make way for a new shopping center. Under the watchful eye of Grandpa Little, his grandchildren Tom and Lucy look after one another and the hidden household. Tom earns the grudging trust of a fierce stray cat by carefully removing a painful splinter from its paw, and the unlikely friendship proves crucial. Through a string of daring exploits, the Littles and Henry uncover proof of Augustus’s plan to seize the property. With the villain exposed and brought to justice, the house is preserved and the family—both human and tiny—finds a safe, happy future together.
