Synopsis
Woody Allen portrays Val Waxman, a two-time Oscar-winning director reduced to a neurotic, washed-up artist hungry for one last resurrection. When a final chance arrives, it comes with an ultimatum: work under the production of his ex-wife Ellie or forfeit his last shot at reclaiming glory. As they reunite professionally, Val struggles to discern whether he’s motivated by love or delusion, while Ellie’s unwavering support raises the question of whether devotion itself is blinding—and both on-screen and off, the film they make together supplies the answer.
